Poker League Table and Results

I have now nearly finished the update. A lot of the new stuff on the site (ie. the header and link buttons) are being hosted by another site. This means that anyone with a slow internet connection might have to wait a while for the icons to load. I've not tried looking at the site from another computer but i imagine that there may be one or two things that might not look right. It seems to look ok on my computer though.

I am also going to update the player profiles during the christmas period so i'll probably be sending out requests for information at some point. If you look at my player profile, thats what i'm hoping to complete for most, if not all, members.

If anyone does experience any problems or wants to recommend any changes to the site, as always, just get in touch and i'll do my best.

The senior section of the site is going to take quite a while to complete by the looks of things. I have changed most of the pages to bring them up to date but i am editing the player profile section to make it look a bit more interesting. I have a ton of work to do for uni this week so the site will probably be a bit pants for a while i'm afraid.

I am still updating the site. I have discovered a few new things that i didn't know before, which is why i am updating the look of the site. Hopefully everything will work once i'm done. If anyone does find it isn't working or it looks a bit weird then please leave a comment or email me or something. I think it might take me a week or two to get the whole site looking the same. I have to do each page individually so it takes forever. Cheers.

Sorry if you cant access the website properly. I'm in the middle of making fairly significant changes to the site. I have made one or two significant mistakes as well so there might be somethings missing when the site is up and running again.

Just another reminder that we are still missing out on free money. Easysearch offers about 1p for every internet search made using its search engine. Yes, it doesn't sound like much but over the last 9 weeks we have raised over £5 with just one or two people using it. If we were to get between 10 and 20 people using it we could be raising nearly £1000 a year just for searching the internet. Sorry to keep going on about easysearch but it is really starting to p*ss me off that nobody else is using it. You don't even have to register with anyone just click on the link below and set it as your homepage (not too difficult!).

The deadline as you can see is 1st February 2008. The date is set then because it can take roughly 8-10 weeks for the order to be delivered, so we will have it for the start of the season. Last season i had several people try to order a couple of days after the deadline and tried my best to change the order, this year I WONT!!

Following on from my message the other day about the pre season nets. We have also aquired the coaching services of Simon Price for those sessions.

Poker League & Results

I have been asked to guage opinions as to what we want to do for next years annual dinner. I will be posting a few opinion polls over the next few weeks or months to try to establish what everyone wants to do.

You may have noticed that I have made a few changes to the site to hopefully make it easier for you to navigate.

The ABCC SENIOR pre-season nets have been booked.

START: FEBRUARY 4TH (and every Monday onwards)
AT: PRINCE HENRY'S (EVESHAM)
TIME: 8pm TILL 10pm


This season all senior teams will be training together at the same time and venue so we have hired all four lanes. I don't know what the cost of each session is yet, i'll have to let you know.

As you know, the ABCC AGM was held last night (6/11/07). The election of officers took place, which turned out as follows:

The club would like to thank Rod Bull, who has stepped down this year from his role as club treasurer after 42 years, for all of his hard work in helping to guide the club through its highs and lows over that period.

It was also decided at the AGM that there will be changes in the sub committee structure. The Bar and Buildings Committee has now been amalgamated with the Fundraising Committee and the Ground Committee has been merged with the Senior Playing Committee.

The 2007 season AGM is on Tuesday night (6th November). It starts at 8pm and is held at the cricket club. If you are a club member you are welcome to come and join in. For anyone who doesn't know, this is when the clubs officers are elected.

The Poker League has been postponed for tuesday night due to the AGM but has been rescheduled for thursday. (i cant make it).

Award Winners

I didn't know until yesterday that the meals start at 7:30, so it might be wise to arrive at 7:00. Sorry for late notice.

Junior Committee Minutes

Justa reminder to everyone that the dinner starts at 7:30 on friday night. Please arrive promtly as the meals will not be delayed if you haven't turned up.

Also, as i have mentioned before, gents are expected to wear a suit or shirt and tie at least. NO JEANS please Rog!

Finally, a few of us will be meeting in the Oddfellows Arms at around 5:30 for pre party drinks. All are welcome so please join us.
